Happy Wednesday! I’m taking the week off from Real Life Wednesdays to bring you my review of Vega Sport. It’s a crazy week. We leave for Spain next week and getting life with 3 kids ready for that kind of trip is a little INSANE. So, we’re keeping the blogging simple this week but I didn’t want to leave for our trip without filling you in on Vega.
I’ve been using Vega for several months now so I feel like I’m in a good spot to give you an honest review. I’ve said it before but I don’t use a ton of products. I have a really sensitive stomach and my body reacts to supplements in weird ways sometimes. Maybe you can relate. So, when I had an opportunity to try something I saw floating around the IG world, I jumped on the chance.
I have seen so many runner’s and athletes using Vega and proudly declairing their loyalty. Two of my faves being Knead to Cook and Stuft Mama. If these ladies love it, it must be amazing. So I’ve put it to the test thanks to Trevor at Vega Sport.
What’s in Vega?
The great thing about this product is that you can feel good about putting it in your body. Vegan, plant based, non-GMO and organic all rolled into one. I’m not vegan, though I’ve tossed around the idea of trying it out. I love a good burger ya’ll. I’m curious how my body would handle it and how it would make me feel as an athlete. The founder of Vega, Brendan Brazier, started out dabbling in a plant based diet as an Ironman. His critics said it wouldn’t work, and he proved them wrong. He’s a professional ironman and 2 time Canadian 50K ultra winner. So, I trust him. However, even though I haven’t gone vegan, I’m still loving that these products are made with ingredients I can feel good about.
I’ve tried a lot of other products by other big brand companies, been asked to sell or try different brands. The first thing I do is look at the ingredients. If I can’t pronounce it or if it’s artificial in any way, I don’t want it. The whole point is to #fuelyourbetter and I can best do that with Vega.
Vega has a range of products that help you prepare, sustain, and recover. My favorite items are the Vega Sport Pre-Workout Energizer(doesn’t make me jittery) that also comes with a sugar free option, the Vega One nutrition shake, and the Vega Protein powder for recovery(the mocha flavor is AMAZING). The Vega One nutrition shake is also great for maintenance and meal replacement. They also have a hydrator, sports bar and gel(like a gu). These are in my gym bag to try once my mileage starts getting back up in the double digits very soon!! Eeek!
Why I’m hooked
Look. I’m about to start training for my third marathon. I know that nutrition and fuel is vital to any athletes training plan. Fueling and hydration and recovery can be a science. Every body is different and reacts differently to various products and ingredients. Trust me, I’ve gone through a TON of different products in search for the right one that works for me. What’s often frustrating is that I’ll find something I love for hydration, but then something totally different for fuel. Then I get all jumbled up on what I’m putting in my body. I love that Vega has all the bases covered from hydration to fueling to recovery. I know that they all have the same standard for ingredients so I don’t have to worry that I’m putting anything in that I don’t want or need. I can trust the product and for that I’m so thankful.
The flavors are versatile and delish and I’m EXTREMElY picky people.
They are offering FREE nutrition plans, play lists, fueling plans and more. It’s amazing!!! Who doesn’t love free stuff anyway?? Thanks for stopping by today ya’ll!! See you Friday for Friday Faves Mother’s Day edition!
