It’s Christmas Eve..YAY!!!!! This is without a doubt my favorite time of year. I’m really nostalgic. I love the music and the trees and the lights and the gifting and the food. I love everything about Christmas. My kids are getting a new XBox this year. I’m fairly certain I will hate life in a little over 24 hours. The fighting, the controller arguments, the I lost melt downs. Yay. We have a Wii that is outdated…it’s 3 whole years old. What’s up with that?! You buy one of these outrageously expensive systems and they stop making games for it after a few years? It really annoys me. But, the boys are outgrowing toys and they play outside a lot. It’s nice to have a few things for indoors when it’s cold out. Anyway, thanks to the golden box my husband and I have set a fairly strict budget for each other this year. I thought I’d give you my “wish” list of some fun things floating around in my head. I won’t be getting all of them and honey, if you read this….don’t freak out. I am NOT expecting all of these things for Christmas. Maybe we should call it a New Year’s wish list…things I’d love to collect during 2015. Ha! Ok, you ready?
First up..the MacBook Air
I tend to think in blog posts. I know that sounds weird. Have you seen the movie the Holiday? It’s one of my favorites. You know how Amanda(Cameron Diaz) thinks in movie trailors? That’s how I feel about the blog sometimes. I think in posts.
I feel like I come up with some really good stuff in the shower, on the playground, or at the gym. I’d LOVE to have a place I could go to work on the blog that didn’t involve my home office. Not that I can take a laptop in the shower but you get what I mean right? My office is away from the rest of the house and the computer faces a wall. When I’m on it, my back is to everyone. This doesn’t fly. There is something about a mom turning her back that makes everyone needy. They suddenly need snacks, drinks, the channel changed, a referee. Every. Single. Time. So, a laptop would allow me to blog and study in not only other parts of the house, but on the go as well. When those ideas pop in my head, I could get them down faster. We’ll see if my husband buys into my crazy logic. I’m not expecting this for Christmas by the way, but hoping 2015 is my year for a laptop, and it doesn’t have to be a Mac. I’m kind of tech stupid so whatever the coolest laptop is these days, that’s what I’d love.
A GoPro Hero4
I know, I’m probably way behind the curve on this one but the Gopro looks so fun to me. I was swimming yesterday thinking how cool it would be if I could shoot pics under water. I’d love cooler running pictures. Do people even really workout anymore or just take pictures OF the workout? Anyway who cares! This nifty little camera is awesome and I’m willing to sacrifice some workout time to get some cool pictures. I need to upgrade from my phone camera and this would do the trick. Eeeeeeekkkkk!!!! I love pictures. I love running. Done. I need a Gopro. Please don’t think I’m greedy. I totally get I don’t need anything. This list is just for fun mmmk?
Albion Fit Unwind Pullover
Is this not the most comfortable and amazing looking pullover in the history of ever? Oh. My. Word. I’d never get anything done wearing this. I’ve been eying it for a while and am hoping to get some spending money for Christmas. It’ll go towards this bad boy. It’s like heaven in a pullover. And I’ll stand in a field of flowers looking that cute and put together…or not. But I’ll be comfy and that’s all that matters.
Tall Brown Boots
Talk about behind the curve. I know people have been wearing tall boots for years. It’s just one of those things I haven’t wanted to spend the money on. Not sure why. Hoping this is my year to finally look somewhat fashionable and cute in some of my very own tall brown boots. These are Sam Edelman and I LOVE them. I have like ten thousand pairs of skinny jeans so I need some boots to go with.
Oiselle Moto Lesley Tight
Are these not awesome! I love Oiselle and I LOVE these pants. I’ve been on the hunt for a dark heather gray pair of running tights for like ever. These fit the bill. I’m pretty sure they were out of my size so I’m hoping to order these after Christmas.
Starbucks on the go mug
From a laptop to a coffee mug. I swear I’m really low maintenance. I’d be happy with a mug. A friend of mine gave me one of these a couple years ago and it broke. I’ve been devastated ever since. I carry my coffee in a regular coffee cup to take my kids to school. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spilled hot coffee on myself in the middle of yelling at everyone to put on their shoes and get in the car for the one millionth time. Oh wait, I don’t yell at my kids…ever. Anyway, a cute happy Starbucks mug would make those crazy moments so much more pleasant yes? Yes.
Anthropologie Gift Card
I know, low maintenance right? I ask for one of these little gems every year. In fact, I’m not sure it even made my list this year so this one is probably out too. BUT, it’s usually one of my all time favorite gifts. I know I make this big stink about how much I love workout clothes, but ya’ll, I like to look cute sometimes too. And Anthropologie makes a workout clothes obsessed girl feel dang cute. Love this place. I could spend days in there.
Ok, so there you have it. My little…or not so little…wish list. What are some things you are wishing for this year?
Hope ya’ll have a Merry Christmas and a blessed time with your families. I’m so thankful for Christmas. I know it’s busy and we talk so much about gifts and things but really, it’s all about Jesus. He came. He came for you and He came for me. He didn’t have to but He did. I can’t go into Christmas without a reminder of the reason we celebrate. All this stuff is nice and fun to think about, but it really doesn’t bring any joy does it? He does. I’m so thankful for the gift of grace that came in the form of a little baby so many years ago. I adore all of you and pray for a blessed Christmas for you. See you back Friday with some Friday Favorites!!! I’m sure it’ll be filled with all kinds of crazy goodies.
