Friday Favorites: The Bachelor Finale, a Bosu Ball workout and Spring Break!!

Ok.  I haven’t been this excited about a Friday favorites in a long time.  Let’s get to it..

The Bachelor Season Finale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note*  I give away everything in this post.  If you haven’t seen it, go watch it then come back.  You’ve been warned.

In the order of how it’s all going down in my head…

Jimmy Kimmel…..HILARIOUS.  Seriously.  I cried.  And the cow named Juan Pablo?! bahahaha! And did you hear Chris Harrison say “Eeees Ok?”  Oh my word.  I almost peed my pants.  Granted it was really late, my husband was out of town and I was delerously tired but still.  Hilarious.

Britt’s eyelashes…….where did they go?  I seriously almost didn’t recognize Britt.  She went from this…

to normal eye lashes.  I couldn’t find a picture.  But I almost didn’t recognize her on the finale.
I stress ate an entire bowl of ice cream.  Chris, that’s how stressed out you made me.
I was swearing up one side and down the other(not like cussing, I wasn’t that into it) that Chris was going to choose Becca.  I just knew it.  So, when he seemed utterly heart broken and near tears, then proposed to Whitney like 30 seconds later, I struggled to connect.  It just didn’t feel right, even though good ole Whit seems like a nice girl and a good fit for baby making and life on the farm.
And back to Britt…two bachelorette’s?  Did I hear Chris H. right that the bachelors will decide on the first night which one stays?  Or are there two the whole time?  Because that would be a train wreck.  Producers did not ask my opinion, but it’s true.  That’s too much drama even for reality T.V.  Moving on….
Spring Break!!
The kids are on Spring Break this week.  We didn’t have a lot planned which has been nice, until they start crawling backwards up a wall.. and you know it’s time to get the heck out of dodge.  Monday and Tuesday the whining and fighting were at a premium and I have had a little stomach bug all week.  Didn’t help my patience.  So, I did what any other self respecting mother would do…I let them buy Poptarts.
We don’t buy Pop tarts often.  Vacation and Spring Break.  Don’t get me wrong,  I buy stuff I probably shouldn’t for them, we’re a work in progress.  But, I took ALL 3 kid to the store with me on Monday.  This is the result.  Oh well.  It’s one box of Pop tarts.  And it made everyone quiet.  Win.  Win.  And we made homemade ice cream…
We went to lunch with Gigi and got our burger and fries on at Mooya..
We went to the gym some because the kids love going.  The boys get to play basketball and they come away all sweaty and worn out, which is fantastic.  Wednesday I was sick to my stomach but they wanted to go.  So, I made it 2 miles then decided I was being an insane maniac runner person and why on earth would I run when I just felt like puking.  So, off the treadmill I came.  I camped out in the locker room and it was like heaven came down to Lifetime Fitness.

Someone please tell me why I don’t do this more often?

We had lots of rain and coffee days…

But notice the flip flops??  Yep, Spring is coming people.
I’ve also had some time to read.  LOVING Anything by Jennie Allen.  She’s seriously one of my favorite authors of all time…
Molly has had lots of love too, with all of us home this week.

Also, I got some exciting news.  I’m a St. Jude hero for the Chicago Marathon!!!!

I am so insanely excited about this.  I’ve wanted to be a hero for St. Jude for a long time.  More on this next week but in the meantime, here is a
link to my fundraising page if you feel led to give.  If not, your support is fantastic as I train and head down this road for a fantastic cause.  Either way, ya’ll rock.

Thursday morning was amazing as I was able to take the boys to serve at a local ministry called Mission Reagan.  Here is a link to their Facebook page.  They are an amazing organization that donates medical supplies to those in need here and around the world.  It was such a priviledge to get to work with them and for my boys to get their focus on something other than themselves.

I’m not always great at making my kids get outside of their comfortable.  But, it’s so important for them to learn to serve others.  I was amazed at their attitudes and how well they did.  Until Jake rubbed mud on my back because he thought it was funny.  It wasn’t.  Kids.  Anyway, they had a blast and we will definitely go back and do what we can to help Mission Reagan!!

They got to ride in an ambulance!!  How cool is that?!?!
So I’ve been loving the bosu ball lately.  It’s amazing for stability and strength training and it works your core all at the same time.  I forgot how much I love that little thing.  It can be a piece of equipment that can be intimidating to use.  So, I’ve put together a little workout for ya.  As always, please use caution as these workouts may not be suitable for your fitness level.  I’m always here and available to make modifications so feel free to email me or comment below.
One more thing.  We took the kids to a minor league basketball game last night with some friends.  It was kind of a freak show.  6 kids and 4 adults attempting to SIT and do anything is a little insane.  But, we had fun.  I snapped a few pics of Rob and Lila and it made my heart melt.  These two.

This morning I joined the 5am club and worked out with a local bootcamp called Texas Fit Chicks.  It was fantastic.  Seriously.  It’s been a while since I worked out that early or in a bootcamp setting and I forgot how much I love it.  So, it’s time for coffee and kids and another rainy day.

So there you have it.  Our week at home and all the crazy that goes along with it.
Hope ya’ll have a fantastic Friday!!!  Be sure to link up with Erica today for Friday faves.  Happy weekend friends!!!
